Who we are
Alforaa ("Alforaa", "we", "us" or "our") is operated by Alfora Tech Private Limited, with its registered office at Shop No. 17-18, Gopi Tower, Tagore Nagar, Jaipur, Rajasthan 302021, India. We also work with schools in the United Arab Emirates from our team in Dubai.
Alforaa sets up AI-powered Skill Hubs inside schools, runs them with full-time mentors, provides take-home kits and offers Alforaa Intelligence, an app that shows schools, parents, full-time mentors and students how learning is growing.
What this policy covers
This policy applies to:
- Our website at www.alforaa.com and any page that links to this policy.
- Enquiries, demo requests and other messages you send us.
- Job and full-time mentor applications.
- The Alforaa Intelligence app and the Skill Hub programs we run in partner schools.
When we run a program for a school, the school decides why and how its students' data is used. In law the school is the Data Fiduciary (India) or controller (UAE), and Alforaa processes that data on the school's behalf under a written agreement. Where that agreement says something different from this policy, the agreement applies to that school's data.
The information we collect
Information you give us
- Enquiries and demo requests: your name, school name, role, city, email address, phone number and anything you write in your message.
- Job and full-time mentor applications: your CV and the details you choose to share with us by email.
- Conversations with our team by phone, email or WhatsApp.
Information schools share with us to run the program
- Student details: name, grade, section and class roll.
- Learning records: attendance, the projects a student builds, quiz answers and scores, skill levels across our seven skills, and short notes written by full-time mentors.
- Photos and videos of class activities, where the school has permission to share them.
- Contact details of parents or guardians, so we can send them their child's reports.
- Staff details: names, roles and contact details of school staff who use the app.
Information collected automatically
- Basic technical data when you visit our website: browser type, device type, pages visited and approximate location derived from your IP address. Our hosting provider records this in server logs for security.
- Cookies and similar technologies, as described in our Cookie Policy. Our website sets one essential cookie that remembers your cookie choice, and uses Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, but only if you allow it.
We don't knowingly collect personal data directly from children through our website. Children's data reaches us only through their school.
How we use your information
- To reply to your enquiry, arrange a demo and prepare a Skill Hub plan for your school.
- To run Skill Hub classes, plan lessons and give full-time mentors what they need to teach well.
- To produce class reports, skill maps and term reports for schools and parents.
- To send parents updates about their own child's learning.
- To keep our services, our users and our premises safe and secure.
- To improve our programs and app, using aggregated or de-identified information wherever possible.
- To consider job and full-time mentor applications.
- To meet legal, tax and regulatory requirements.
We don't use personal data for advertising, and we never use children's data for marketing.
Our legal basis
We only process personal data where the law allows it:
- Consent: for example, when you send us an enquiry or allow optional cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time; withdrawing doesn't affect what we did before.
- Performing a contract: to deliver the program and app a school has signed up for.
- Legitimate uses permitted by law: for example, responding to a request you made, security, and meeting legal obligations.
For students, the school is responsible for having a lawful basis, including obtaining verifiable consent from a parent or guardian where the law requires it. We support schools with consent forms and records.
Children's data
Most of the students we work with are under 18. We treat their data with extra care:
- We process a child's data only on the instructions of their school and only to support their learning.
- Schools obtain verifiable consent from a parent or guardian before a child's data is shared with us, as required by India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and applicable UAE law.
- We don't track children's behaviour across the internet, profile them for commercial purposes or show them targeted advertising.
- Students see only their own progress. Parents see only their own child. Full-time mentors see only their classes. School leaders see their school.
- Photos of children are used only within the school's reports and the app, unless the school and parent have separately agreed to wider use.
AI and automated insights
Alforaa Intelligence uses AI to help full-time mentors, schools and parents understand learning. It:
- adapts short quizzes to each student,
- draws skill maps from quiz answers, projects and full-time mentor notes,
- drafts class and term reports in plain language, and
- suggests which students may need extra help.
These insights support people; they don't replace them. Full-time mentors review what the AI produces, and no decision with legal or similarly significant effects on a child is made by automated means alone. We don't use students' personal data to train third-party AI models.
International transfers
We work in India and the United Arab Emirates, and some of our service providers store data in other countries. When personal data moves across borders, we use providers with strong security commitments and contractual safeguards, and we follow the transfer rules of the law that applies, including any restrictions notified under India's DPDP Act and the UAE PDPL.
How long we keep information
| Information | How long we keep it |
|---|---|
| Enquiries and demo requests | Up to 24 months after our last contact, unless you become a partner school |
| School and student program data | For the length of the school's agreement, then deleted or returned to the school within 90 days, unless the school asks otherwise or the law requires longer |
| Job and full-time mentor applications | Up to 12 months, or longer if you join us |
| Website server logs | Up to 30 days |
| Your cookie choice | 180 days |
When we no longer need information, we delete it or make it anonymous.
How we keep information safe
- Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
- Access is limited by role and given only to people who need it.
- Staff and full-time mentors are trained in data protection and child safeguarding.
- We review our security regularly and work with providers who do the same.
No system is perfectly secure. If a personal data breach affects you, we will tell you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you and a summary of how it's used,
- correct, complete or update it,
- ask us to erase it,
- withdraw consent at any time,
- object to or restrict some uses, and ask for a copy in a portable format (UAE),
- nominate someone to exercise your rights if you die or become unable to (India), and
- have a grievance addressed promptly.
To exercise any of these rights, email info@alforatech.com. We may need to confirm your identity first. We aim to respond within 30 days. Parents should usually contact their child's school first; we will help the school respond.

We may update this policy as our services or the law change. We'll post the new version here with a new date, and tell partner schools about significant changes before they take effect.
